I looked at wiki.fluidnc.com/ to find the gcode used for this experiment but could not find it. Is the documentation a bit behind?
Hi Bart, I ordered a while ago and just now found time to tackle the project again. When I connect the controllerto my PC via USB-C nothing happens, no lights flash and windows does not recognize something connected. How can I trobleshoot this? The Wiki seems to start trouble shooting after a connection is established. I tried multiple cables and verified them working by connecting my phone that got recognized without a hitch. What can I do?
@@hassiaschbi you need to apply power. Ask further questions on our discord. UA-cam is a terrible place to do customer support.
@@engserve Thank you, that worked great! I come to discord if I need more help.
freertos and fluidnc firmware can work together to perform tasks simultaneously on the two cores of the micro controller
Love this!
greeting engineer Last week I purchased the card Please could you make a video tutorial of the installation of fluidnc and an example of how the card can be programmed with movements of closed-loop stepper motors, example: ball screw motor by changing the speed of the motor and its direction
We have a wiki that describes everything. wiki.fluidnc.com/en/installation There is also a page for that controller and links on how to get help.
Awesome!! Do you share the g-code?
Portrait video uploaded in landscape won’t help your viewing figures.
I think you'll find he doesn't care.

Hi friend, where can I get this project for your mini cnc? Can you tell me where I can get this project or can you give me the specifications?
is this compatible with grblHAL, if yes is it plug and play?
No. If you are a programmer, you could probably port some of the functionality.
I wonder if you could help me with my dilemma? I built a CNC Plasma table and control it with an MKS DLC32 V2.1 board (with built in Wi-Fi) and Open Builds Control (which I really like). OB will run the g-code file just fine as long as the plasma machine isn't turned on. Once the plasma cutter fires the CNC machine freaks out and ends up either stopping with the torch still firing, or it takes off in some random direction - and OB responds with a lost port error. Obviously this is an EMI issue. I've tried numerous shielding, grounding, and isolation methods with no luck. However, if I load the g-code file onto an SD card and run it from the MK Laser app on my phone I can get a successful cut - but this also has drawbacks as the MK Laser app doesn't have z-axis control (I hear it used to) and the Z-axis height changes once the g-code starts to run. Messing with the MK Laser app to get it working is just a huge PIA and I would prefer to have the code being executed from inside OB. What I would like to try is controlling the MKS DLC32 board via Wi-Fi through the Open Builds Control software, but OB doesn't find the board when I scan networks. I've read in the forums that OB uses "telnet?" and would need GrblHal to be installed on the MKS board. I've also read FluidNC might work. But this is where things start to get over my head. But I'm convinced I could flash my board with either GrblHal or FluidNC (maybe old ESP?) if I could get some very simplistic instructions on what steps I need to take. If you could assist without boggling my mind with tech jargon that will surely not attach to my brain neurons, I would very much appreciate it. For me simple is like this: go to ___ and find ___ and open it and then navigate to ___ and place it ___ by dragging into ___ and then... After you do that then got to ___ and download ___ and then open the folder named ___ and then... etc. Thanks! Robert H. (a struggling newbie in the world of files and configurations)

would i be able to upload files to the cnc machine via the usb port on the pendant? its currently not designed to be accessed but i could easily modify the design to make it possible to attach a usb. Our local makerspace is building a printnc with your 6 axis controller and the owner of the space doesn't want to upload files via wifi.
You can upload files via the USB on the main controller...not the pendant. Please ask future questions on our discord. See the wiki for access.
@@engserve o thanks! I'll check that out. Can also make that work.
This looks amazing. Just ordered from Elecrow! I was going to use a Raspberry PI with parallel cnc hat and LinuxCNC but this looks far more user friendly! I have enough learning curve as it is with building the machine itself and with trying to learn Fusion… this looks like a great way to handle the controller hardware. I already have the DM542 drivers. In one of your other videos you recommended using the opto isolator board for the limit switches.. is that a good idea with this board as well?
Awesome video, can this be made to control 4 axis?
I think someone submitted a PR for that. You scroll to see only see 3 at a time, but it could be YZA, etc. Go to our wiki for more info.
I would like to know more about the components to make the Ari machines string machine I would like to be able to contact you if possible
Hello Sr. I see that the XYZ axis are always in mm can I put the reading in degrees as if they were 3 horizontal indexers and maybe add more axis or indexers as A B C and if you can also add a speed regulator to the spindle or Motor ? thank you

Thank you Bart, for taking the time to create this. I also really appreciate all the work you've done and shared with FluidNC and the controllers; I bought your 6x CNC Controller for my first home DIY CNC table (plasma and router), and it's been fantastic! Thank You!

Very coool brother
Does this have the drivers built in, sorry for the nube question, and if not can I use the gecko g540?
It does not have drivers on the board. It is designed for external stepper drivers. It can work with the g540.
@@engserve thanks, and what is your drivers option? Need 6 axis
@@lylefranksaunders2113 All the controller options are listed here. The 6 Pack might be what you want.
@@engserve Driver options, not controllers
@@lylefranksaunders2113 I don't know of any 6 axis external drivers. Some have multiple like the g540 and the MX3660, but most people use single axis drivers.

coaxial steppers exist!? thank you for sharing ..and nice robot!
I had no idea either, and that's a thing I've looked for in the recent past!
Nice 👍
But now everything depends on a smart phone with tech which could be obsolete when new phone/Bluetooth/wifi standards occur. And eventually the batteries of the phones won't charge up.
My head is spinning. I am using USG interface to GRBL so my screens are not like yours at all but I get the big picture. Now I need to translate what you did into USG stuff. If that is possible, Thank You for the drink for the G Code Coordinate Systems Firehose. Dennis
Wow. I just love your passion for CNCs 😅
Hi Barton. I have a few questions for you. I'm currently building a CNC plotter for my client, and although I'm an engineer, I have no experience with CNC machines at all. Right now, I'm looking for a controller, and I know I can do it with Mach, Linux CNC, but your Fluid project and your controller intrigued me because I'm looking for something simple. Hence a few questions: Does the license allow the use of your hardware/software in commercial equipment? Are these solutions stable enough for a machine running daily for 8 hours? The machine is supposed to have 3 axes, Nema 34 motors, a 6kw Hiteco spindle, plus limit switches. Does your controller support Ethernet via cable, or just USB for wired connection? And do you generally think your solutions are suitable for such a commercial machine?
Everything we have produced is 100% open source without any commercial restrictions. Please see our wiki for most of your other questions. wiki.fluidnc.com. Join our Discord server if you have more questions.
question. I'm unable to replicate the response 'OK' from the HC-05. I'm using your code and connections as instructed. Any ideas?

Does it support G83 drilling and peck Command
No. The list of supported gcode is here. wiki.fluidnc.com/en/features/supported_gcodes Most modern CAM programs create their own peck cycles with more basic gcode.
